Recorded New Financing Increase: BNI finance Achieves Rp. 1.8 Trillion

Jakarta - BNI finance (BNIF) recorded an increase in new financing distribution (new booking) of Rp1,8 trillion, up 7,5 times compared to the achievement in the same period of the previous year of Rp212 billion. Of the total new bookings until the third quarter of 2023, the majority were consumer financing of Rp1,3 trillion, followed by investment financing of Rp481 billion and working capital financing of Rp49 billion.

Total assets at the end of September 2023 were recorded at Rp2,4 trillion, up 128% compared to the previous period of Rp1,1 trillion in September 2022. This increase in financing distribution also boosted BNI finance's income by 89% on an annual basis (YoY). BNI finance is optimistic that managed assets will continue to increase in line with financing expansion through branches established since early 2023. In addition, BNI finance continues to implement prudent risk management amidst increasing financing distribution so that financing quality is maintained.

The NPF (Non Performing Financing) ratio in the third quarter of 2023 was recorded at 0.3%, better than the NPF ratio in the same period the previous year of 1.64%. The high financing expansion in 2023 was supported by the addition of new branch networks. Until the end of October 2023, 17 branches (full branch operations) had been operating and received approval from the OJK from a total of 30 branches planned to operate in 2023. This branch network expansion is in line with the market segment targeted by BNI finance which focuses on consumer financing and is supported by the main business partners, namely new car dealers. 

Furthermore, BNI finance also receives full support from the Holding Company, especially through a commitment to increase capital. BNI finance has received the first phase of capital injection of Rp400 billion in August 2023.
